Since Google has not taken a clear position on whether human-written content performs better, we decided to design a simple experiment. We took a look at what was already ranking, then compared the number of AI-generated articles to human-written articles.
We Ran 20 Top-Ranking Pages Through an AI Detector — Here’s What We Found
Our experiment involved a few easy steps. These are:
- First, we compiled a list of 10 keywords across a range of niches.
- Then, we collected the top two organic search results for each keyword (minus social media sites like Reddit).
- We ran each page through our AI detector.
- Finally, we compared the number of top-ranking AI-generated articles with the number of top-ranking human-written articles.
